Up your entertaining game by adding some outdoor lighting to your next backyard BBQ. You don't need to spend a ton of money to outfit your space with a bit of light, either. Instead, you can do what this one woman did and DIY your own little table lamps out of supplies that you may already have on hand.

Just make sure you have more than enough wine glasses than you think you'll need for your company. Trust us, you'll understand why after you watch this short clip on how to put together these adorable table top lights.

We're impressed by how quickly @theprickleparlour put these cute table lamps together. As you can see from her short clip, it literally only takes a few minutes to whip this up.

You can make things go even faster if you opt to skip painting the cups, but we think that they are part of what gives this design some of its charm, so we don't really recommend it.

Just don't forget to grab some battery powered lights. This craft won't work if you use actual tealight candles, since it will melt the cup or even possibly start a fire!

If you absolutely must use real candles, then you'll want to skip adding the "lampshade" and instead just use the wine glasses and candles.

When you're thinking about getting set up for some entertaining, you may want to consider another fun feature that will make your backyard fete pop: night gardens.

    What Are Night Gardens?

We never heard of night gardens until recently, and now we're absolutely obsessed. The thing that makes night gardens so cool is that these gardens are just as enjoyable as daytime gardens, but without the added heat provides.

Here, let us explain: night gardens are created by adding lighted features to your space. Whether that be some solar powered statues , or twinkle lights that get wound through your trellis and turned on as soon as the sun goes down.

These items also add a bit more interest to your daytime garden, because normally they can be seen then as well! This allows them to pack a double punch, elevating your space, and making your yard more enjoyable during any time of the day!

Light Up Your Outdoor Tables With a DIY Lamp

As you can see, there are a lot of good reasons to add a bit more light to your outdoor gatherings. So, consider whipping up a few of the OP's DIY lights for your tables, and then go ahead and add some other points of interest throughout your yard to create a more celebratory vibe.

Trust us, you're going to get plenty of compliments from your guests!
