Ever since Halsey sang in that mall, we knew she was a star. Since then, we’ve seen her morph into both a blockbuster movie star and an accomplished makeup brand founder. And now, she’s gone full Lava Girl with her flaming hot pink hair. If you’ve been following Halsey for awhile, you know she’s no stranger to bold hair choices—and this new color is no exception. Not only does the look remind us of our favorite childhood heroine, it’s making us contemplate trying out neon hair too.

Over the years, we’ve seen Halsey wear tons of different hairstyles. From her signature pixie cut to her more recent voluminous curls at the MaXXXine premiere, she’s constantly serving the glamour. Although her blue hair (circa 2015) is a favorite among her stans, it’s hard to imagine this new neon pink not ranking just as high.

But either way, neon pink is the hair color trend we’ve all been craving. Sure, cowboy copper is cute —but there’s nothing like a hair color so bright it almost hurts to look at. Who knows, maybe more celebrities will follow in Halsey’s footsteps and channel their inner Lava Girl too.
