The 2024 Paris Olympics basketball schedule is quite busy and involves many countries. But US viewers are likely wondering when the Dream Team, which includes Lebron James, Kevin Durant, Steph Curry, and more, will be competing in July and August 2024. The time difference between France and the United States makes watching Team USA live difficult. Fortunately, there are several ways for fans to watch games either online digitally or on various networks like NBC and USA. Here’s when and how to watch Men’s 5×5 basketball for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

What is the 2024 Olympics basketball schedule for Men’s 5×5?

The Men’s 5×5 basketball schedule for the 2024 Paris Olympics is based on group play and an elimination bracket. Games will air live on Peacock and on NBCOlympics.com, with the Gold Medal match airing live on NBC.

The USA basketball team will need to make it out of qualifying Group C first before they can advance to the quarterfinals. But given that the USA has won a gold medal in the event for four straight Olympics (2008, 2012, 2016, and 2020), we expect that the 2024 Dream Team will win it again. So we’ve included all six games that Team USA will likely be competing in below.

    • Game 1 vs. Serbia – July 28, 8:15 AM PT / 11:15 AM ET
    • USA Network will also air Game 1 at 11:00 AM PT.
    • Game 2 vs. South Sudan – July 31, 12:00 PM PT / 3:00 PM ET
    • USA Network will also air Game 2 at 11:45 AM PT and at 10:00 AM PT (repeat).
    • Game 3 vs. W OQT-PUR – August 3, 8:15 AM PT / 11:15 AM ET
    • USA Network will also air Game 3 at 3:00 PM PT.
    • Game 4 vs. TBD (Quarterfinal) – August 6
    • USA Network will also air Game 4 at 12:15 PM PT.
    • Game 5 vs. TBD (Semifinal) – August 8
    • USA Network will also air the semifinals at 8:30 AM PT, 11:45 AM PT, and 8:30 PM PT (repeat).
    • Game 6 vs. TBD (Gold Medal Final) – August 10 at 12:30 PM PT / 3:30 PM ET.
    • The Gold Medal match will air on NBC at 12:30 PM PT and on USA Network at 9:00 PM PT. USA Network will also air the Bronze Medal match at 2:00 AM PT and 10:00 AM PT (repeat).

For Game 3, if you’re wondering what “W OQT-PUR” means, the USA team will be facing off against the winner of the 2024 FIBA Men’s Olympic qualifying tournament in Puerto Rico, which takes place from July 2 to 7. So we’ll know soon who will join Serbia and South Sudan in Group C. Team USA will need to place in the top two in Group C to reach the quarterfinals.

We’re also not sure which bracket Team USA will be placed in for the quarterfinal (Game 4) and semifinal (Game 5), but we’ll add the exact times for when to watch those games live in a later update.

The games for group play will take place in Lille at the Pierre Mauroy Stadium, whereas the quarterfinals, semifinals, and medal matches will take place in Paris at the Accor Arena.

The 2024 Dream Team will also play in five exhibition matches before the Paris Olympics against Canada, Australia, Serbia, South Sudan, and Germany. You can watch them on FOX and FS1, with the full exhibition schedule available on USA Basketball.
