Top Prospect To Make Her WWE Television Debut During This Week’s NXT Level Up

WWE signed Olympic gold medalist Tamyra Mensah-Stock in 2023, and since then, she has been working on transitioning from amateur to professional wrestling. Of course, the big question on everyone’s mind is whether she will follow Kurt Angle’s example and become a star or instead flop like Gable Steveson. And while it is far too early to tell, Mensah-Stock is set to make her WWE television debut this Friday, having wrestled during this week’s NXT’s Level Up tapings under the ring name of Tyra Mae Steele.

31-year-old Mensah-Stock began amateur wrestling at the age of 15, and her potential was evident in all who watched her compete. This would see her dedicate her life to the sport, and while she wouldn’t always finish in first place and even missed out on the 2016 Olympics in Rio, she would achieve her dream in 2021 when she defeated Nigeria’s Blessing Oborududu 4–1 in the women’s freestyle 68-kilogram competition to win Olympic gold.
