The internet is obsessing over a dad who g reeted his daughter at Dublin Airport in the most Irish way this week.

Before she left Ireland, Sinead Brosnan joked that her father would "never" finish redoing their kitchen while she was away. She was left eating her words upon her return to Dublin - where she found her dad Timmy holding up a very special welcome home sign.

Timmy took the front of a drawer from the old kitchen to the airport with him and wrote 'Welcome Home Sinead' on it in marker. On the back he added: 'A Bit of Home to Welcome You Home'.

The moment was caught on camera by Dublin Airport staff, who shared photographs of Timmy holding the sign online. The pictures have been liked and shared thousands of times.

"A top drawer welcome at Dublin Airport ," the airport's social team said on X. "Daughter Sinead joked that her dad would never finish the new kitchen while she was away.

"With the job complete, today he’s welcoming her home with a very special welcome home sign. Because Irish dads are the best!"

Some of the people commenting on the post said that it made them emotional. "As an Irish dad, I have a tear in my eye thinking of their reunion and how delighted he was to see her," one person wrote.
