    Evacuations ordered in Lake County after structure fire spreads to vegetation

    ( KRON ) — Immediate evacuations have been ordered in Lower Lake after a structure fire spread to nearby vegetation Wednesday. The fire erupted on the 16200 block of Main Street and has now grown into a 5-acre vegetation fire, according to Cal Fire.

    The fire was at a rapid rate of spread and structures are threatened, fire officials said. Evacuations have been ordered for the following zones:

    • LOW-E169

    “Gather household members, pets, and essential items (including medication), lock your home, and leave now,” the Lake County Sheriff’s Office advised.

    Ten engines, two crews, two dozers, three fixed-wing aircraft, two helicopters and three water tenders are responding to the fire. Fire officials have dubbed the blaze the Adams Fire.

    There was no immediate word on whether anyone had been injured.
