    UPDATE: 11:04 a.m. Saturday

The Olinda fire is 100% contained, the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection announced Saturday morning.

    UPDATE: 9:55 a.m. Thursday

The fire that broke out on Wednesday in Happy Valley is holding at 98 acres in size and has reached 20% containment, the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection said early Thursday.

All evacuation warnings have been lifted, the Shasta County Sheriff's Office said about 9 a.m. Thursday, July 4.

Crews will continue to extinguish hot spots and conduct mop up operations throughout the day, the agency said, adding that the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

    Original story from July 3:

A fire in Happy Valley has grown to 98 acres, with large areas under evacuation and an evacuation center set up at Anderson High School.

As of about 5 p.m., the fire was about 5% contained, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.

Earlier in the afternoon, crews at the scene had asked for 10 additional fire engine crews, four hand crews and supervisory crews to help work the fire, according to emergency scanner traffic.

"It's all hands on deck right now," said Jas Shaw, a Cal Fire spokeswoman. At around 6 p.m., she said the fire appeared to be putting up less smoke. Officials at the scene radioed to fire dispatchers that they were releasing some crews from the blaze.

The Shasta County Sheriff's Office had ordered evacuations for a large swath of area covering Happy Valley, from Olinda Road in the north to Cottonwood Creek in the south. The evacuation zone also included Happy Valley Road on the east and as far west as Gas Point Road.

Several Roads leading into the area, including Olinda and Happy Valley roads have been closed while crews work on the fire.

By 6 p.m., many of those evacuation orders had been reduced to evacuation warnings, Shaw said.

Shaw said the fire was threatening homes in the area, but it wasn't clear how many homes were in the path of the fire.

The fire was initially reported at about 6 acres in the area of Olinda and Happy Valley roads. It was spreading at a "moderate" rate, Shaw said.

Aircraft, including helicopters had been dispatched to the fire, as well as ground crews, she said.
