Unless you live under a rock, you’ve heard the rumors that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez ‘s marriage has been on the rocks and may even be over now.

The Justice League actor and This Is Me Now … A Love Story star sparked divorce rumors in May when Lopez made some red carpet appearances without her husband. The two tried to calm some of the noise by attending a few family functions together but that was before J. Lo took a solo vacation abroad and was spotted sans her engagement ring.

Affleck remains ‘protective’ of Lopez despite end of their marriage

It’s been a rough couple of months for Lopez and fans began to realize that when she attended the MET Gala as well as her Atlas premiere alone. However, when she canceled her tour to “spend time with family” there was hope that she and Affleck were trying to work things out. But, according to multiple sources, that isn’t the case as the two have been living apart for months and their marriage can’t be salvaged.

In late June, People reported that Affleck moved all of his belongings out of their $60 million marital mansion while Lopez was vacationing in Europe. It’s believed the two are looking to sell that residence now. Moreover, in a recent Instagram post, the green diamond ring Affleck proposed to the “Jenny From the Block” artist with was missing from her left hand.

But despite the claims that their marriage has already ended, sources say that Affleck still remains “very protective of Jennifer.”

How Many Times Has Jennifer Lopez Been Married?

The two were together from 2017 to 2021 when they ended their engagement after rumors circulated that the former New York Yankees slugger cheated on Lopez with reality star Madison LeCroy.

“He was always her best match. I don’t think cheating is a dealbreaker for her anymore,” the friend told the Daily Mail , adding, “I think she won’t announce the split until she has someone else lined up in any case. [Jen and Alex] were matched in terms of the lifestyle, the looks, the grooming, the private jets, and all the rest of it. They were great together. They were a good match … Would not be surprised if they got together again. It was a long-term relationship and their families got really close; they were blended.”

Rodriguez is currently dating fitness instructor Jaclyn Cordeiro.
