    Wildland fire prompts evacuation order in Lake County

    Update: Around 8:10 p.m., all evacuation orders and warnings were lifted .

    (FOX40.COM) — A wildland fire named the Adams Fire has prompted an evacuation order and multiple warnings in Lake County.

    The Lake County Sheriff’s Office said people living in zone LOW-E169, which includes several areas east of Highway 29 in Lower Lake, are told to evacuate.

    Neighborhoods being told evacuate are north of Spruce Grove Road, west and south of Morgan Valley Road, and west of Wagner

    “Gather household members, pets and essential items (including medication), lock your home, and leave now,” the sheriff’s office said.

    CAL FIRE said crews responded to a commercial structure fire around 3:30 p.m. at the 16200 block of Main Street. Officials the fire spread into vegetation and is threatening structures at a “rapid rate of speed.”

    As of 5:41 p.m., officials the fire grew to 15 acres and is 15% contained and firefighters will be on scene overnight.

    “Crews have constructed control lines completely around the fire and are conducting heavy mop-up operations inside its perimeter,” CAL FIRE Sonoma-Lake-Napa unit posted on X.

    The fire is near multiple businesses and residential areas and is south of Lower Lake High School.

    Officials said 10 engines, two crews, two dozers, three fixed-winged aircraft, two helicopters, and three water tenders are on the scene battling the fire.
