Police investigate robbery in Hanover Township

HANOVER TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A heavy police presence occurred at an apartment complex in Luzerne County.

Officials say they were called to the area of Marion Terrance Apartments in Hanover Township on Wednesday evening for an unknown incident.

According to the Hanover Township Police Department on July 3 around 6:21 p.m., police were investigating a robbery that occurred at the Simply Tobacco on the Sans Souci Pkwy.

Police say through investigating they learned the suspects fled into the Marion Terrace Apartment Complex.

A search of the area was conducted by the Ashley Borough Police Department, the Nanticoke City Police Department, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police Department, and the Pennsylvania State Police, officials note
