(WJW) – More than 39,000 hair dryers have been recalled due to an electrocution and shock hazard, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

On Wednesday, Los Angeles-based Focusee LTD recalled the Tideway High-Speed Hair Dryers PRO M01, sold between November 2023 and March 2024.

According to the CPSC, the handheld hair dryers, which were manufactured in China, don’t have an immersion protection device, meaning customers can be shocked or electrocuted if the product falls into water while plugged in.

There have been no reported injuries tied to this recall.

Officials say the hair dryers were sold for roughly $170 on TikTokShop.com, Shopify.com and other websites.
