NEWBERG TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Two people were taken to hospitals after a truck rolled “end over end” in Cass County Wednesday afternoon.

Around 12:45 p.m., a 31-year-old Three Rivers man was headed north on M-40 south of Bald Hill Street in Newberg Township when he lost control of the truck and trailer, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office said.

The truck hit the guardrail and rolled “end over end” down the hill, the sheriff’s office said.

The driver was taken via helicopter to the hospital and his passenger was taken via ambulance. Deputies said they were both wearing their seat belts and that drugs and alcohol were not factors in the crash.

The sheriff’s office is investigating the crash.
