Journey Through Time: Mishawaka Invites Kids to Explore History Through Storytelling

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- The Mishawaka Parks and Recreation Department, in partnership with the Mishawaka History Museum, invites young adventurers to embark on a captivating journey into the city's past with "Time Travel Adventure: Exploring Mishawaka's History Through Storytelling."

Scheduled for Tuesday, July 9, from noon to 2 p.m., this engaging program is tailored for children aged six to 12 and their guardians. Registration is required for participation.

Beginning at the Mishawaka Historical Museum on 121 S. Main St., participants will delve into local history through guided tours of museum exhibits. The experience continues with an interactive walking tour along North Main Street and Beutter Park, immersing attendees in the rich heritage of downtown Mishawaka.

This initiative aims to foster a deeper connection with community roots while igniting curiosity about the city's cultural evolution. It's an opportunity for young minds to uncover stories of resilience, innovation, and the everyday heroes who shaped Mishawaka into what it is today.
