The WNBA world has been buzzing ever since it was announced that Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark would be teammates at the 2024 WNBA All-Star game later this month.

And this hype has caused ESPN media juggernaut Stephen A. Smith to make a bold prediction about this year's All-Star Game

"The big winner in TV ratings is the WNBA All-Star game. Standout rookies Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese are headed to Phoenix -- as teammates," Smith wrote on Wednesday via his LinkedIn page .

"That's a big takeaway from Tuesday's 2024 WNBA All-Star roster announcement. Now, they will be on the same side, which has "breaking the Internet" potential on gameday."

Breaking the internet potential is a bold claim from the ESPN icon.

"Clark and Reese, both vying for rookie of the year, have brought a lot of energy to their teams and the WNBA, but have been somewhat reluctant antagonists since the 2023 NCAA final. Both downplay the other as a big rival, but their fan bases have done an endless amount of talking about them," Smith continued.

It sounds like Stephen A. Smith is just as excited about the upcoming WNBA All-Star Game as the rest of us WNBA fans.
