TMZ reported that 21-year-old Welch is looking to capitalize on the remarkable success of the "hawk tuah, spit on that thang" video clip by trademarking it for apparel and entertainment services. The "Hawk Tauh" rights filing positions her to market her own merchandise and potentially forge a path in stand-up gigs and comedic podcasts.
She registered the application under her newly set-up company, 16 Minutes, LLC, a wit-filled name reference to the phrase "15 minutes of fame." In the video that went viral recently , a question was thrown at Welch about the "one move in bed that makes a man go crazy every time," Her cheeky reply was, "Oh, you gotta give him that hawk tuah and spit on that thang, reports Complex.
A false story circulated shortly after the video that she's landed a deal with United Talent Agency. In fact, she's inked an agreement with management enterprise, The Penthouse. Insiders from The Penthouse have revealed plans to clamp down on all merchandise exploiting the clip and have also hinted at Welch launching her own line soon.
"He never said anything about Instagram, TikTok, nothing of the sort. So I was like, oh well, I'm never gon' see this again. Sure enough, I seen it again."
