    The 2024 Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest will take center stage of a sporting calendar that will also see 15 MLB games be played across 10 hours, making for a busy slate of games to watch while making food, gathering with friends and family, or taking off work.

    Although Joey Chestnut is banned from this year's competition due to complications with a vegan-based sponsor, some notable names should still be watched, including No. 2 ranked men's eater Geoffrey Esper and top female participant Miki Sudo.

    What time does the hot dog eating contest start today?

    • Women's contest: 10:45 a.m. ET
    • Men's contest: N oon ET

    Unlike in previous years, numerous ESPN networks will cover the festivities. The action gets underway at 10:45 a.m. ET on ESPN3 (streaming-only) before the men's portion begins at noon ET on ESPN2. It is unclear how long both will last.

    Commentary-wise, long-time E:60 host and Outside the Lines correspondent Jeremy Schaap will describe the action alongside Rich Shea, the president of Major League Eating. Tiffany Greene will handle on-site reporting duties from Brooklyn, N.Y.
