The year 2024 saw several Hindi web series arrive on the OTT platform Netflix. From light-hearted dramas and comedies to crime thrillers, the streaming giant’s lineup has been interesting so far. Kota Factory Season 3, Heeramandi, and several other star-studded shows were released that entertained the audience thoroughly.

Below is a list of the best Hindi web series released on Netflix in the first half of 2024:

    Kota Factory Season 3

Jeetu Bhaiya and his students from Kota returned to home screens with Kota Factory Season 3. However, the new season was a lot different as it dealt with emotions, vulnerability, success, failure, mental health, and more.

While Jeetu Bhaiya was coping with the death of a student, Vaibhav and his friends learned many life lessons. Above all, the new season taught the viewers how one must not give up on their dreams, but if they need to, they can get out of the situation and choose a different path.

The show saw Jeetendra Kumar, Mayur More, Ahsaas Channa, Ranjan Raj, Revathi Pillai, Alam Khan, Rajesh Kumar, and others reprise their roles. Tillotama Shome joined the show as Pooja Didi. The show arrived on Netflix in June and has been trending since then.

    Heeramandi

Sanjay Leela Bhansali spread his magic again by bringing his ambitious project, Heeramandi, on Netflix. It has become one of the most popular Hindi web series. It followed how courtesans from Lahore’s Heeramandi contributed to the freedom struggle of India. From their glory to fall down, the web series weaves a beautiful story showcasing the life in Heeramandi.

The Netflix web series had a massive star cast, including Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Sharmin Segal, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Richa Chadha, and Taha Shah Badussha, who played crucial roles. The show also saw Shekhar Suman, Adhyayan Suman, Fardeen Khan, and Farida Jalal making their comebacks.

    Killer Soup

Konkona Sen Sharma amazed everyone once again with her impeccable performance in Killer Soup. Moreover, Manoj Bajpayee added the extra thrill with his double role in the Netflix show. It sent chills down viewers’ spines with its twisted tale and intertwined characters.

Abhishek Chaubey directed the series, which received mixed reviews from the audience. Besides the two leads, the show also saw Nassar, Sayaji Shinde, Anula Navleker, and others play supporting characters in the web series. It is available to watch in Hindi and Tamil on Netflix.

The show’s official synopsis reads, “Swathi dreams of owning a restaurant. But when murder derails her plan, she and her lover take an outrageous step — to replace her husband with him.”

    Maamla Legal Hai

A rather light-hearted courtroom comedy, Maamla Legal Hai, arrived on Netflix in 2024. It starred Naila Grewal, Nidhi Bisht, Ravi Kishan, Anant Joshi, and others. Directed by Rahul Pandey, the series has an IMDb rating of 8 out of 10.

Maamla Legal Hai’s official synopsis reads, “Chaos collides with the letter of the law at District Court Patparganj, where quirky employees work to uphold justice — but not without a few objections.”

    The Great Indian Kapil Show

Celebrated Indian comedian Kapil Sharma switched from TV to OTT with his new show, The Great Indian Kapil Show, this year. Besides the lead host, the show also saw Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Archana Puran Singh, Sunil Grover, and more returned to entertain the audience.
