Firefighters were working to control a wildfire burning in the Klamath National Forest in California’s Siskiyou County, on July 3, according to the US Forest Service.

Timelapse footage from an ALERTCalifornia’s live camera in Fort Jones shows smoke plumes erupting from the Shelly Fire in the distance on Wednesday.

As of Wednesday evening, the blaze had grown to 224 acres in size.

The Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office said there were no structures under threat and no active evacuations. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
