    Beautiful weather on Oregon Coast as Willamette Valley roasts

    PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — The Oregon Coast is forecast to see beautiful, breezy weather in the 70s and low 80s while the Willamette Valley suffers through multiple days of 100-degree temperatures for the Fourth of July weekend.

    KOIN 6 Meteorologist Josh Cozart reports that daily highs on the coast will be roughly 20 degrees cooler than those in the Willamette Valley. However, areas just east of the coastline are still forecast for dangerously hot temperatures.

    “Regardless of where you are heading across the Pacific Northwest for your Fourth of July, stay hydrated,” Cozart said.

    Energy companies urge conservation as heat dome arrives in PNW

    The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat warning for most of Oregon starting at noon on the Fourth of July and lasting through 11 p.m. Sunday.

    No heat warnings or advisories are issued for Oregon’s beaches.
