Ever wonder how celebrities can consume endless junk food and stay so thin? Despite their youth and activity, their methods involve more than just burning calories through exercise. I’m not referring to using diet drugs, either.

This dietitian points out that celebrities stay fit because of their primary eating habits, not just what we see online. She gives us an easy way to discover what they really consume.

Check out this video from June 28 to see how she gains this insight.

Although some people can eat whatever they want and not gain a pound, most of us are not this lucky. While it may appear that many celebrities and influencers are constantly eating junk food, Ilana @ nutritionbabe reveals these clips don’t show the complete picture, which is generally true for anything we see online. She explains that to find out what they’re really eating, she likes to look up celebrity chefs and see what they’re preparing for their clients. Smart! One example she shows is Olivia Rodrigo. Although Olivia may sometimes post pictures of eating foods like noodles or pretzels, her actual meals consist of a yogurt and fruit bowl, salmon and eggplant, and a few chicken drumsticks with veggies.

She describes that while she may have a few snacks throughout the day, most of her food is highly nutritious and unprocessed. This type of menu is also likely the bulk of someone like Kylie Jenner’s diet, even though it may appear like she eats an entire box of Crumbl cookies . As adults, we may know that what we see online is inaccurate, which can even be challenging for us to accept sometimes. So, it’s difficult to imagine what children who don’t have this understanding must think when they see distorted realities. Ilana’s clever trick is a great way to help make these influencers and celebrities more realistic and encourage better eating habits.

    Reasons to Avoid Ultra-Processed Foods

Although these options are convenient, there are plenty of reasons to make them a small or nonexistent part of your diet. Foods like cereals, processed meats, soda, chips, and store-bought sweets have been associated with metabolic disorders, including type 2 diabetes and obesity. Many of these convenient options also lack essential nutrients and are usually higher in calories than whole foods, often resulting in us consuming more. A recent study also suggests that Ultra-Processed foods may be linked to higher rates of cognitive impairment and strokes.

People were happy to hear this truth. Viewer @zoe responded, “I think we need to accept that the influencers and celebs we see eating stuff on camera are taking a bite and then throwing it out.” That’s for sure. Viewer @Kayla remarked, “Ugh, I was just talking about this yesterday. Thank you for this.” It’s an important message for us all.

Maybe one day, we’ll see less junk and healthier options in our feeds. After all, real foods can help us look and feel our best and may even help extend our lives.
