The next Monster Hunter game, Monster Hunter Wilds, is in development, but it won’t be on Switch. Capcom recently commented on why that’s the case. The company was asked about the situation during its most recent financial results briefing Q&A. Capcom gave the answer we often see from others – which is that the team is “utilizing the latest technology to its limit”, so Nintendo’s console wasn’t really considered an option.
