Angel Reese has had one heck of a week.

Not only did she set (and then extend) the WNBA record for consecutive double-doubles in a single season and win the WNBA Rookie of the Month Award for June, but she was also named to the WNBA All-Star Game on Tuesday.

This means she'll be playing alongside fellow rookie Caitlin Clark.

And WNBA legend Lisa Leslie sent the "Chi Barbie" a heartfelt message over social media as a result of her first All-Star selection.

"@Reese10Angel I’m so proud of you! Congratulations on your first All-Star! I told you! They will all regret passing on you," Leslie wrote.

Drafted by the Chicago Sky with the No. 7 overall pick, Reese has already proven herself to be the steal of the 2024 WNBA Draft.

She is currently locked in an intense back and forth battle with Fever guard Caitlin Clark for being frontrunner for the WNBA Rookie of the Year award.

Time will tell whether one of these rookie icons will manage to separate themselves from the other as the rest of the regular season unfolds.

But for now, Reese can bask in the love she's receiving from WNBA legends.
