Taco Bell joins value meal trend with launch of $7 meal deal this summer

There’s been a trend lately of fast food joints offering great value deals at their restaurants .

Now Taco Bell is spicing things up and joining the fast-food discount battle this summer, lining up alongside McDonald's , Wendy's , and Burger King .

They're serving up the Luxe Cravings Box, a feast for just $7. It includes a Chalupa Supreme, Beefy 5-Layer Burrito, Double Stacked Taco, nacho chips with cheese sauce and a medium fountain drink.

Taco Bell said the box is brimming with "full-sized menu items."

Fans of Taco Bell have taken to Reddit to share their thoughts on the generous deal. One individual said: “I wish I could swap the chalupa out for a non-chalupa item. Otherwise, it seems like a decent deal.”

Someone else said: “I wish they wouldn't put the beefy 5 layer in every single box but other than that it's not bad for the price.”

“I mean seems like a lot of food for $7,” another added. And another customer commented: “I think it has some decent value compared to their recent offerings.”

It comes after McDonald's dished out their own $5 Meal Deal. The chain is tempting taste buds with either a crispy McChicken sandwich or the famous McDouble, along with four chicken nuggets, fries, and a beverage for good measure.

Wendy's is also beefing up their offerings with their Biggie Bag which is now packed with a tasty sandwich or burger, nuggets, fries, and a drink to wash it all down.

Meanwhile, as of June 17, Burger King has thrown its crown into the ring with the $5 Your Way Meal deal.

The meal allows diners to choose between a Whopper Jr., Bacon Cheeseburger, or Chicken Jr., accompanied by fries, four chicken nuggets and a soft drink.
