There is one thing that every single home across the globe has in common; painted rooms. This typically looks like all the walls of the room are painted one uniform color, maybe a “accent” painted wall here and there, and usually a genetically white ceiling and wood trim that spans all across the room.

This has been the go to style for painting for… well as long as we have known. And finally interior designers have given us other ideas to work with. Wallpaper is starting to make space, colorful trip has dipped its toes in the design world, ceiling have gotten upgraded with texture, designs, and wooden slat additions, and our absolute new favorite; color drenching ! If you haven;’t heard of it before, check out the video below and prepare to be awed!

After years of boring paint jobs and generic styles; white walls wood trim, finally the design world gave us something to work with and flipped painting rooms as we knew it on its head! The look of a colored drench space is so abstract and unusual that it pulls you into the space and transports you to a completely different vibe. We are so loving this trend, especially for bathrooms!

How Paint Colors Can Influence Your Mood

Certain colors can bring forth different moods in us, such as yellows and oranges are primarily used to evoke energy, happiness, and excitement, but these colors can actually be triggering for someone with ADHD when it comes time to relax and unwind.

Cool colors such as greens, blues, and purples promote relaxation and focus.

Neutral colors such as beige otherwise known as “sad beige” in the design world is a color often used for people who struggle with ADHD or ADD as it is a neutral color not being over-stimulating nor over relaxing.
