Coleen Rooney has decided not to relocate to Plymouth with the kids, despite her husband Wayne Rooney taking on the head coach role at Plymouth Argyle. The club is aiming for a push towards the Premier League under his leadership.

At a press conference in Plymouth on Thursday, 4 July, Rooney confirmed that Coleen would not be joining him in Devon as he embarks on his new managerial journey. When quizzed on if his wife would be joining, he replied: "No she won't be."

Rooney highlighted the pivotal moment in his eldest son's life, balancing football and education, saying: "I think my children, my eldest son is at a really important stage of his life, football as well as school.

"Of course you miss them but this is my job, this is what I want to do, so you have to sacrifice certain things in order to be the best you can be. I'll see them as much as I can."

Having been appointed head coach of Plymouth Argyle in May, Rooney has already started his tenure at Home Park this week. This appointment comes after his previous stint at Birmingham City ended abruptly in January earlier this year, where he served as manager for just 83 days.

Emphasizing the importance of stability for his children, he added: "I think for my job, school work and the football at home as well is the most important thing. I don't want to take them away from that, although I'll speak to them every day."

Kai Rooney, the 14-year-old son, is already making waves in the football world. The eldest of the couple's four boys, Kai has been tipped to follow in his father's legendary footsteps after scoring a "wonder goal" against Millwall in May, securing the Albert Phelan National Cup for his Manchester United Under 14 team. A source told OK! that while both parents are thrilled for their son, they have differing views on how his burgeoning career should be managed.

"Everyone is saying how he is going to be football's next big thing and could even emulate his dad," the source said.

However, it seems that Wayne and Coleen have different perspectives on how to handle their son's promising career. "Wayne is happy for him to start playing at 16 professionally like he did but Coleen is a lot more protective and thinks that a lot of Wayne's issues come from being a star so early."
