Madame Tussaud’s popular wax museum in Paris recently revealed a new wax figure of Beyoncé , but some fans of the singer, known as the Beyhive, are unhappy with the portrayal.

Critics pointed out that the statue appeared to have whitewashed Beyoncé’s skin color, causing controversy and disappointment among her fans.

“ I DON’T KNOW WHO THE F–K THIS IS OR SUPPOSED TO BE! But it ain’t MY QUEEN! This is a WHITE WOMAN!,” wrote one upset fan, while another added, “now beyoncé may be lightskin but this is insane… .”

“whitewashed and failed to get her features right,” groused one person while another simply asked, “Who the hell is that supposed to be??”

Interestingly, this is not the first instance where the museum has faced criticism for its portrayal of the 42-year-old Grammy winner.

Back in 2017, a Beyoncé statue received backlash for inaccuracies in its facial features, hair, and notably, its noticeably lighter skin tone, leading to the trending hashtag #TussaudsSoWhite. Madame Tussauds New York, where the statue was exhibited, responded to the controversy in a statement provided to Page Six.

“At Madame Tussauds, our talented team of sculptors take every effort to ensure we accurately color match all of our wax figures to the celebrity being depicted.

“Lighting within the attraction combined with flash photography may distort and misrepresent the color of our wax figures which is something our sculptors are unable to account for at the production stage.”

Unfortunately, Beyoncé’s skin tone has been a subject of ongoing discussion throughout her career. In a recent incident, Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, defended her daughter against accusations of skin bleaching or trying to appear as a white woman due to her choice of platinum blonde hair at the premiere of her “Renaissance” tour film.

Tina Knowles,70, responded to online critics by sharing a video montage of hurtful comments and emphasized that Beyoncé embraces her identity as a brown-skinned woman, highlighting that being a brown-skinned girl is about culture, pride, and strength, not just a physical attribute.
