Netflix has released the official Elite Season 8 trailer for the upcoming final installment to the streamer’s longest-running Spanish teen drama series. The final episodes will be dropping on Friday, July 26, 2024.

What happens in the Elite Season 8 trailer?

The trailer highlights what fans can expect to see from the eighth and final season. It also provides a preview of the mysterious death of one of Las Encinas’ students, teasing the final murder mystery case that the characters must solve before the season ends. The video also features the first look at the return of Mina el Hammani as Nadia, who was last seen in Season 4.

Elite centers around Las Encinas, the most exclusive school in the country, where the elite sends their children to study. The series is created by Carlos Montero (The Mess You Leave Behind) and Jaime Vaca (Cable Girls). Season 8 is being directed by Daniel Barone, Ginesta Guindal, Jota Linares and Elena Trapé. The series currently stars André Lamoglia, Valentina Zenere, Ana Bokesa, Álvaro de Juana, Ander Puig, Nadia Al Saidi, Álex Pastrana, and Carmen Arrufat. Joining the show in its final installment are new cast members Ane Rot, Nuno Gallego, Alexandra Pino, and Mario Ermito.

“In Season 8, the arrival of siblings Emilia and Héctor Krawietz, leaders of Las Encinas alumni association, shake the school foundations,” reads the logline (via Deadline). “Influential, powerful, corrupt and corrupters, the Krawietz will scatter chaos wherever they go and will destroy the lives of those who fall prey to them. Only Omar will be able to face them and will be willing to do anything to see them fall, because in the end, they represent everything that has always been wrong in Las Encinas.”
