    Warren County Suspect Apprehended After Fleeing Stabbing Scene

    Apprehended: Suspect who fled the scene of a stabbing on a horse farm in Warren County, New Jersey.

    WARREN COUNTY, NJ - The New Jersey State Police announced a Warren County suspect has been apprehended after they fled the scene of a stabbing on a horse farm.

    On July 2, 2024, at approximately 10:20 p.m., troopers responded to a report of a stabbing victim at a residence on Meadow Cliff Lane in Hardwick Township, according to the NJSP .

    According to the authorities, the suspect, Nelson Ariel Orellana-Vargas, allegedly fled the scene on foot. Orellana Vargas, 23, was described as a Hispanic male, 5’1” and approximately 140 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt with a dragon on it and jeans.

    On July 3, the NJSP took the matter to Facebook, seeking the public’s assistance with locating Orellana-Vargas for his connection to a stabbing investigation.

    “Due to everyone’s help in sharing this post, the subject has been apprehended,” wrote the NJSP. “Thank you all for your assistance.”

    Orellana-Vargas is currently in police custody at the Warren County Correctional Facility.
