USA Gymnastics, headlined by Simone Biles, made TV history during its two-day women's Olympic trials last June 28th and 30th.

According to Front Office Sports, the final day of the Olympic trials for USA women's Gymnastics averaged 7.6 million viewers on NBC, peaking at 8.2 million viewers. Apparently, it is the most-watched Olympic trials since 2016.

For what it's worth, the 2016 USA Gymnastics trials also featured Biles, along with eventual Olympic qualifiers Aly Raisman, Laurie Hernandez, Madison Kocian and Gabby Douglas.

Considering the star power of Biles, who is largely considered one of if not the greatest gymnast in history, it's not really a big surprise why the Olympic trials drew a lot of attention.

Many fans probably wanted to see if Biles--who made her return to gymnastics in 2023 after taking a hiatus after the 2020 Olympic games--would be able to punch her ticket back to the summer games.

Sure enough, Biles didn't disappoint as she dominated in the Olympic trials to qualify for the Paris games. She's joined by Jordan Chiles, Sunisa Lee, Jade Carey and Hezly Rivera on the five-woman squad that will represent Team USA in the 2024 Olympics.

The Olympics opens on July 26 and lasts until August 11.
