Korean movie Mission: Cross to premiere on Netflix
On Friday, July 5, 2024, Netflix announced that its upcoming Korean movie Mission: Cross will be available to viewers worldwide in August 2024. The lead cast members, Hwang Jung-Min and Yum Jung-Ah, made the much-awaited announcement, asking viewers to look forward to an action-filled adventure. Meanwhile, the movie also stars the late actor Lee Sun-Kyun’s wife, Jeon Hye-Jin.
Earlier this year, The Korea Herald reported that distributor Plus M Entertainment delayed the theatrical release of Mission: Cross. The film was to hit local theaters during the Lunar New Year in February 2024. However, the delay remained indefinite. According to the news report, industry insiders stated that the delay was due to Jeon Hye-Jin’s husband and popular actor Lee Sun-Kyun’s unexpected death in late December 2023.
Viewers who have been eagerly anticipating the movie can now watch it on the global streaming platform Netflix. Mission: Cross follows the story of special forces officer-turned-househusband Park Kang-Moo (Hwang Jung-Min), who hides his past from his wife, Kang Mi-Sun (Yum Jung-Ah). Meanwhile, a mysterious woman named Jang Hee-Joo (Jeon Hye-Jin) enters Kang Moo’s life. Mi-Sun suspects her husband of having an affair and chases him. On the other hand, Kang-Moo looks for something important.
