Skip Bayless has always had something bad to say about LeBron James . However, when it comes to LeBron's son Bronny playing in the NBA, he has incredibly showered him with praises none of his colleagues have even thought about. Well, his latest James Jr. take might top them all.

During the latest episode of the Skip Bayless Show, the Fox Sports analyst claimed that Bronny might be even more clutch than his legendary father.

"I think Bronny is even built tougher than his father is because Bronny has been through a lot in his life, in the harshest spotlight any kid could get thrusted into as LeBron James Jr. I loved how Bronny has handled this. I get a good feeling every time I watch him not only play basketball but just handle himself, and carry himself. The kid's got a backbone. The kid's got guts. The kid's got principle and character, and his parents did a good job of raising him," the analyst said .

    Bronny has handled himself well

Bronny has been at the center of the storm since declaring for the 2024 NBA Draft. Despite his critics saying that he would only get picked because of his father, he went to the Draft Combine to prove his worth.

Even when he exceeded expectations, detractors continued to pull him down. When the Lakers drafted him with the next-to-last pick of the Draft, they cried nepotism. But in his interviews, LeBron Jr. has shown the composure not many 18-year-olds have, and to Skip, that shows a lot about him, which will reflect in his performance on the basketball court.

"I think he'll be more, calm, cool, collected in the eye of next year's storm than even his father will be," added Bayless. "I think he'll become a clutch three-point shooter. I've always gotten the feeling that had a bigger clutch gene than his father does. McDonald's game, he was in the spotlight. They went to him two, three times, he just nailed threes."

He showed out at the McDonald's game

Under the bright lights of the Toyota Center, LeBron Jr. put on a show in front of a full house crowd that included his father. He notched 15 points with four assists and two steals in 19 minutes of action and helped keep his team in the game with one clutch, three after another. Bronny's last triple gave the West a 106-105 lead with 1:18 left in the game. His team ended up losing the game 106-109, but the Young King stole the show with a performance nobody expected.

There is no question that Bronny's performance in the McDonald's game pales in comparison to that of his dad. LeBron Sr. scored 27 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists to lead his East team to a 122-107 win in the 26th edition of the HS all-star game in 2003. But considering the circumstances, Bron's son's performance was equally impressive.

When Bron Sr. entered the picture, there was a lot of pressure to live up to becoming The Chosen One. But you can also argue that being always compared to that Chosen One right from the first dribble is a lot tougher. Nevertheless, the James family will have their hands full in helping the Lakers get on the winning ways.
