    New wine trail traverses Guernsey, Coshocton and Muskingum counties

    CAMBRIDGE — Wine and craft beer enthusiasts have a new reason to discover Southeast Ohio’s Appalachian hills. Three counties − Guernsey, Coshocton and Muskingum − recently launched a new spirits trail called Wild About Wine that highlights the region’s wineries and breweries.

    This full-service craft beer facility offers brews named after Guernsey County attractions including Salt Fork Sour, Sasquatch Cerveza or National Road IPA. They offer food trucks and entertainment Thursday through Saturday evenings. It’s pet friendly and handicap accessible. Open year-round.

    Coshocton County

    Baltic Mill Winery is located in an historic 1908 flour mill and has been operating for 10 years. They offer more than a dozen varieties of wines and ciders, from dry to sweet, all bottled in-house. They also offer tours showcasing the original mill machinery.     The Wooly Pig Farm Brewery is a small independent craft brewery specializing in traditional German lagers, such as Helles, Schwarzbier and Pilsner. The brewery is family-friendly and has a covered patio and large outside area for sitting or roaming, drinks-in-hand, to visit the eponymous Wooly Pigs. It’s handicap accessible, pet friendly, and offers food trucks (March through October) and beer. Open year-round.
