    Public Records: Ross County restaurant inspections

    The following are restaurant inspections with critical violations, as reported by the Ross County Health Department in June 1-15.

    June 3

    Los Mariachis of Stoneridge Drive LLC, 28 Stoneridge, Chillicothe. Employees are not informed in a verifiable manner of their responsibility to report information about their health.

    Speedway #5224, 1136 E. Main St., Chillicothe. The handwashing sink is being used for purposes other than handwashing. There is an accumulation of liquid in the handwashing sink. Observed food-contact surfaces of the hot dog roller not sanitized at the required frequency and accumulation of food debris on rollers.

    June 5

    Corner Market, 633 Charleston Pike, Chillicothe. Observed a cheeseball in a reach-in open refrigerator by the deli with a digital ambient temperature reading of 41 F, but an internal temperature of 54 F. Observed working containers of two poisonous or toxic materials near a three-compartment sink not properly labeled. Observed missing and/or incomplete allergen declaration(s) on peanut butter buckeyes. Observed fruit trays missing the ingredients of the fruit dip. Observed taffy with a hard-to-view ingredient list.

    Sack N Save, 104 E. Main St., Chillicothe. The open deli case digital ambient thermometer read 62 F. Food temped at 48-50 F.

    Steiner's Speakeasy, 31 S. Paint St., Chillicothe. Observed equipment food-contact surfaces of the ice machine to be unclean.

    June 6

    Rozelle Creek Convenient Store, 4152 Rozelle Creek Road, Chillicothe. The handwashing sink is not accessible. The water was turned off at the facility due to maintenance being conducted down the road. Observed biscuits and gravy holding at 109 F in the hot holding unit. Observed cheese stored in a walk-in cooler holding at 46 F.

    June 7

    Blondie and Brew - Latte Cafe, 36 W. Water St., Chillicothe. Observed handwashing sink being used for purposes other than handwashing. Observed two dishes stored in the sink. The food-contact surfaces of the ice machine had an accumulation of debris.

    Parmar Store #110, 41 Jones Road, Chillicothe. Observed equipment food-contact surface of ice machine with an accumulation of debris. Observed potatoes in foil, sausage patties, sandwiches, and deli meat without date marking. The water at the handwashing sink in the deli area was temped at 70 F.

    Huntsman Market LLC, 6211 Blain Highway, Chillicothe. Observed pizza holding at 128 F in the hot holding unit. Observed deli meat dated May 23 and May 24.

    1st Stop C-Store, 35414 U.S. Route 50, Londonderry. Observed eggs stored above ready-to-eat cheese in a reach-in cooler. Observed missing and/or incomplete allergen declaration(s) on cold-holding sliders, hoagies, chicken salad sandwiches, cold-holding salads, etc.

    June 10

    Subway #55541, 161 N. Bridge St., Chillicothe. Observed tomatoes, tuna and steak holding between 44-48 F.

    June 11

    Kingston Market, 9277 Ohio 159, Chillicothe. Observed gravy held in a cooler at 87 F. Deli lead stated gravy is held at room temp before being placed into the cooler and no temperatures are taken. Observed missing and/or incomplete allergen declaration(s) on Nana's Goodies products, (with some ingredients covered by price tag), cold sandwiches in the deli without allergen information and complete facility information, chip dip with a hard-to-read label, and no information for items being hot held.

    Parmar Store #108, 10238 Ohio 159, Kingston. Employees are not informed in a verifiable manner of their responsibility to report information about their health. Sliced tomatoes and chicken were observed without date marking. A sauce was observed in the refrigerator after the "throw-out" date. Observed missing and/or incomplete allergen declaration(s) on preprinted labels. Donuts, cinnamon rolls, cookies, and hot held items without ingredient list.

    June 12

    Crossroads Meats, 11826 Main St., Adelphi. Employees are not informed in a verifiable manner of their responsibility to report information about their health.

    GNSV Enterprises, LLC, 101 N. Quarry St., Bainbridge. Employees are not informed in a verifiable manner of their responsibility to report information about their health. Observed accumulation of debris on food contact surfaces of pop machine nozzles.

    Hillside Country Store, 10244 Ohio 180, Laurelville. Employees are not informed in a verifiable manner of their responsibility to report information about their health. Observed missing and/or incomplete allergen declaration(s) on all foods repacked from bulk.

    Paxton Restaurant, 108 W. Main St., Bainbridge. Observed cooked potatoes cooling at room temperature. Potatoes were observed to be holding at 114 F.

    June 14

    Traditions of Hopeton Village, 153 Univerisity Drive, Chillicothe. Observed the dish machine reaching a maximum temperature of 145 F. Water temperature in the dish machine is to be 165 F.

    Traditions of Chillicothe, 142 University Drive, Chillicothe. Observed accumulation of debris on the food contact surface of the ice machine located in the Heritage kitchen.
