Stree 2 Director Hints Multiple Sequel Possibilities

The anticipation surrounding Stree 2, the highly awaited sequel featuring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, is reaching its peak as its release on August 15, 2024, approaches. Amar Kaushik’s directorial has generated significant buzz, especially after its unexpected teaser premiere announcing the sequel. Now, adding to the excitement, Kaushik has hinted at the potential for multiple sequels, including a possible Stree 3.

Will there be Stree 3 after Stree 2 release?

The horror comedy Stree became a standout in the genre soon after its release on August 31, 2018. With a cliffhanger ending, many fans have been waiting for a sequel. Recently, with Munjya’s release from the same Maddock Supernatural Universe, fans were treated to an unexpected Stree 2 teaser trailer announcing the upcoming sequel.

Now, with the release of Stree 2 just around the corner, fans are eager to know if there will be a Stree 3. Addressing this curiosity, Kaushik told the Hindustan Times, “There is a possibility. There’s story still left to be told and characters left to be explored. A call will be taken after the film’s [Stree 2] release. There is a possibility of Stree 3, 4 and 5.”

However, the director further added that the decision about whether there will be further installments will be based on the upcoming film’s reception. “As for me, if there is a demand, if I’m asked, I will make [Stree 3]. But, I won’t make it just for the sake of it. There should be demand [from the audience]. Story mere paas hain, demand ayegi toh main bana dunga (I have the story; I will make it only if demanded),” he exclaimed.

Kaushik also shared his feelings about the impending release of Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s upcoming movie. He admitted to feeling nervous due to the high expectations surrounding the film. “But we’ve made a good film, with full honesty. So, we’re hoping the people will like it,” he shared.

As fans eagerly await Stree 2, the potential for future sequels keeps the excitement alive.
