Hot, hazy, and humid! That's the story today as summer is in full swing. The hazy conditions come from lingering smoke from last night's fireworks, so breathe easy - especially in Bergen County where the Hudson River's fireworks left a haze across the northeast corner. Spotty thunderstorms are likely over the northern areas of New Jersey today after 2 p.m. due to the sweaty environment. A strong storm cannot be ruled out. Storms pass between 2 and 8 p.m. this afternoon and evening. It will not be widespread and not all communities will see rain at the same time, but they will pass through most of our northern zones at some point today. It stays damp overnight and will be very soupy again tomorrow. The rain stays away from the beaches today and most of tomorrow where there could be a spot shower in central/southern New Jersey, but once gain, most of the showers and storms will pop to our northern zones tomorrow again the late afternoon and evening. There will be more clouds Saturday when compared to today or Sunday. Sunday is a great day as well. Highs this weekend will be in the 90s. "
