In his final message, Deeds thanked Sheriff Brad Cole for “allowing him to serve the citizens of Christian County and the students at Ozark Schools.” Dispatch returned the favor, thanking him as well.

At a previous meeting, Captain Deeds was presented with the Mike Lewis Lifetime Service Award. The award is described as “a testament to unwavering dedication, exemplary leadership, and profound impact on our community, including the lives of the children of the Ozark School District.”
