The World Boxing Council— one of boxing’s four major sanctioning bodies — has expelled Ryan Garcia for his bizarre, slur-filled rant on social media.

Garcia, who was recently suspended for testing positive for PED use in his match against Devin Haney , spoke in a Twitter space Thursday when he went on an unhinged rant about Black people, Israel, and Christianity. He also claimed he was “anti-n****r” and that “there’s no such thing” as Israel or Palestine.

At another point in the stream, he seemingly joked that he was affiliated with the Ku Klux Klan and that he “hates n****rs.” He then said he wanted to “bring George Floyd back to life and kill that n****r again.”

Hours later, WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman tweeted about his decision to expel Garcia.

“Exercising my authority as president of the WBC , I am hereby expelling Ryan Garcia from any activity with our organization,” Sulaiman said. “We reject any form of discrimination. I fear for [Ryan’s] well being as he has declined multiple attempts for our help with mental health and substance abuse.”

If Garcia returns to the ring following his one-year suspension, he will not be able to compete for WBC championships. That means he wouldn’t be able to unify the belts of the four sanctioning bodies to become an undisputed champion.
