Leaving fur babies when planning an out-of-town trip can be stressful. It's important to make sure they'll be properly cared for until your return which, in a dog's eyes, feels like an eternity. Lulu and TukTuk know this all too well since their humans just returned from a trip. Now they're never letting them out of sight again.

In the heartwarming video shared by @lulu_andtuktuk on TikTok, the two pups are beyond thrilled to reunite with their favorite people. Watch them come back together and feel the joy!

There was no greater feeling 🥹❤️. Knowing our babies were treated like a King and Queen and lived their best farm life while we were away, meant we could enjoy our time away guilt free. When we plan a trip, we factor in dog care as one of the expenses and it must meet certain requirements in which we trial until we find the perfect match. Our 3 main rules are: 1. No Kennels, they must sleep inside the home, live like house dogs, and get endless cuddles and kisses. 2. Someone must be with them the majority of the day to ensure they are safe and happy. 3. Plenty of daily exercise, mental stimulation, training and interaction. It took us a year to find the right place for Lulu and Tuktuk which allowed us to travel knowing they were living their absolute best life back home 🙌🏼. #dog #dogs #puppy #dogsoftiktok #americanbully #staffy #reunitedwithdog #reunited #love #family #happy #travel

"Reunited with our dogs after a 4-week trip away," the 53-second video begins. Lulu and TukTuk patiently wait inside, watching through the glass pane as their parents appear in the yard. They know immediately, it's time to go home. As the door slowly opens, the push through, sprint down the deck stairs, and run up to greet Mom and Dad with all the happy jumps, barks, kisses and squeals. They can't contain their excitement , they've missed them so much!

"There was no greater feeling," the caption begins. "Knowing our babies were treated like a King and Queen and lived their best farm life while we were away, meant we could enjoy our time away guilt free."

They further explained that it took a year to find the right dog sitter that followed three rules:

"1. No Kennels, they must sleep inside the home, live like house dogs, and get endless cuddles and kisses," the post said. "2. Someone must be with them the majority of the day to ensure they are safe and happy. 3. Plenty of daily exercise, mental stimulation, training and interaction."

By the looks of it, both fur babies got all of that and more. But they're more than ready to go home with Mom and Dad where everything will feel whole again.

How Long Does It Take Your Dog To Forget You?

Every loving pet parent worries about their babies when taking a trip. We want them to be well-cared for, happy, and thriving, but mostly, we want them to know we will return. If you're gone on a prolonged length of time, will your dog forget you?

The RSPCA notes a study by Pacific Standard found that not only will dogs remember you , but in familiar humans, they have a positive association with your scent and may even recognize your face.

Rest assured, dogs just like Lulu and TukTuk miss you when you're gone and can't wait for the sweet reunion.
