HILLSBORO, Ill. (WCIA) — After being closed for months due to a large sinkhole, a section of highway in Montgomery County has finally reopened.

Illinois 185 has reopened to one lane after closing in April due to the sinkhole, the Illinois Department of Transportation announced on Facebook Friday. Temporary signals are controlling traffic, the agency said.

This is the second sinkhole in southwestern Illinois recently. A second sinkhole opened in an Alton soccer field last week.
