    Red Top Dogs
    This former brick-and-mortar restaurant now has a new permanent home as the food truck at Atrium Brewing (1154 Logan St.). The menu includes six styles that will have you saying bow wow, like the “Germantown,” topped with shredded cheddar cheese, bourbon grilled onions, apple bacon sauerkraut, and bourbon molasses.

    Lonnie’s Best Taste of Chicago
    There’s no need to teach an old dog new tricks at this St. Matthews staple (121 St. Matthews Ave.), which has been in business since 2001. Lonnie’s serves Chicago-style hot dogs, Polish sausages, and burgers, all at an affordable price .

    Toasty’s Tavern
    When you sit down at this Shelby Park spot (1258 S. Shelby St.), you’ll really want to stay. Known for its burgers, Toasty’s menu also offers three dogs: the Toasty Dog, topped with smoked poblano relish and a signature sauce, a classic chili dog, and a plain hot dog.

    Mochi Dog
    Located in Beechmont’s Louisville Streatery food hall (304 W. Woodlawn Ave.), this spot offers specialty teas, Mochi donuts, and Korean corndogs okay it’s technically not a hot dog, but don’t bark about it.

    Fireman Frank’s Hot Dogs
    Looking for a dog that’s a little more ruff around the edges? This hot dog cart occupies the corner of 4th + Main Streets on weekdays, 10:30 a.m.-7 p.m., selling classic New York-style dogs — two dogs, a soda, and a bag of chips will run you $6.
