SCHUYLKILL TWP., SCHUYLKILL COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A woman is facing multiple charges after police say she assaulted two state troopers during an arrest.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, officers were called to the 160 block of Dodson Street in Schuylkill Township Monday for a disturbance.

Homeowners told police that a woman hit their front door and went to their backyard when she was told to leave.

Troopers said they located the woman, identified her as Karen Heon, 61, of Mary D, and tried to place her under arrest. Heon resisted troopers and began to hit and kick them, as stated in the affidavit.

Eventually, troopers were able to arrest Heon and she allegedly told police she didn’t care that she injured the troopers and she was trying to find her dog.

Heon is charged with aggravated assault, criminal trespass, simple assault, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest.

She remains in the Schuylkill County Prison after not posting her $50,000 bail.
