Woman Paints Over Her Plastic Pool and the Internet Has Thoughts

The Internet can get mad about pretty much anything.

While some complaints are valid, like the woman who put her toilet lid in the dishwasher or the couple that stuck toilet paper in the dishwasher , some are simply preference-based and to us, those are simply not important. Obviously there's always going to be someone who dislikes what choices you make. You just have to get used to it!

That's what this woman had to do when she decided to paint her above ground pool last year. Her comment section was absolutely flooded with hate and disdain, but this year she proved them all wrong. Check out her response below!

TikTok creator Hayley Stuart ( @iamhayleystuart ) is an award-winning interior and DIY blogger, yet her followers gave her so much backlash after one of her garden projects that went viral last year. You would've thought she had committed a crime with the way people were speaking about her!

Turns out, all she had done was take some paint and paint over her plastic above ground pool, covering the ugly logos and instructions to give it one cohesive color. While we think the final product looked amazing, her comment section could not have been more divisive. Some people were praising her for her genius ideas while others were ridiculing her for covering up the important instructions on the side of the pool and saying the paint job wouldn't even last. Some people even said she should be sued! It was pretty brutal.

What Did She Use to Paint the Pool?

As it turns out, it was a super easy project! She only needed primer, water-based garden paint, and a basic paint brush to get the job done. And it's still in great condition!

Now that it's been one full year, Hayley came back to this post to show everyone what the pool looks like now. And boy did she prove them wrong.

Her pool still looks incredible. Her matte cream painting job looks so much better than just the plain pool. This is a lesson to not always listen to what the online commenters have to say!
