(FOX40.COM) — What could have been a deadly outcome for a 13-year-old boy and a tragedy for his family on Thursday ended remarkably thanks to quick thinking, according to Calaveras Consolidated Fire.

The teen was drowning near Wrinkle Cove at Hogan Lake when his father, mother and brother entered the water and pulled him to the shore.

Two men found dead in Northern California river on Fourth of July, officials say

After the family found he was not breathing and had no pulse they started conducting CPR on the teen.

When fire officials arrived on scene they found the boy was conscious, breathing and had a pulse. The teen was transported to the possible by paramedics.
