The consortium aims to elevate the quality and quantity of simulation used in nursing education. Simulation intends to teach students patient care and critical decision-making skills. It involves using life-sized mannequins with a computerized interface.

The Professional Development Resource Grant will support 42 full-time Montgomery College Nursing faculty members who are focused on preparing for the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) re-accreditation process. The funds will also support faculty participation in the ACEN self-study forums in Atlanta, Ga.
