Lindsay Hubbard has taken fans on quite the rollercoaster since Summer House Season 8. As viewers are well aware, her engagement to Carl Radke ended rather spectacularly and left people rather split.

But once she was past the initial turmoil, Lindsay was all too ready to move on. At the Season 8 reunion, she mentioned she’d been seeing someone. While she didn’t give too many details, she hinted that things were getting pretty serious. Little did she know just how serious things would truly get.

Lindsay shared the news of her pregnancy on July 4, 2024. As if fans weren’t invested in her new man enough, the pregnancy had everyone dying to know his identity. Unfortunately, Lindsay said it just wasn’t in the cards right now. But why?

Lindsay’s man needs privacy in his line of work

In a recent chat with PEOPLE , Lindsay revealed why she and her new man were staying so hush-hush about his identity. “He’s a private person, mostly because of his high-powered job,” Lindsay explained.

With the mystery man being a doctor in biotech investing, perhaps privacy is for the best. Lindsay found their dichotomy rather funny. As she put it, “Obviously, I’m a very public [person] and share pretty much every aspect of my life with the world, so I know it’s weird. But I need to respect his privacy here.”

Moreover, Lindsay discussed the unexpected elements behind the pregnancy . “Obviously, it was a surprise and a shock at first because we were not trying or even planning, but we had some honest conversations and it just felt so right for both of us.”

Despite the surprise, Lindsay and her man are feeling the joy behind it all. “He’s just so excited to be a dad and proud to be having a child with me. It just means the world to have someone like him by my side.”
