HEAT ALERT: Humid conditions in the mid-70s overnight; chance for some storms Saturday

Temperatures remain on the warm side Friday night and conditions continue to feel humid. Lows dip to 76 with clouds, fog and the possibility of some showers and thunderstorms. SATURDAY: The weekend opens with some thunderstorms moving through North Jersey in the early parts of the day. There could be another round of storms as we head into the afternoon and evening. Plenty of dry parts of the day—but there will still be a risk of rain. A heat advisory is set to expire at 8 p.m. Saturday but I would anticipate this being expanded. Highs around 90 degrees and lows around 74. SUNDAY: Drier half of the weekend! Highs in the low-90s, lows in the mid-70s. Sunshine and some clouds. MONDAY: Highs in the low-90s, lows in the low-70s.
