Danny Trejo had quite an eventful and violent Fourth of July. A parade he was an honored guest of became a real-life action movie for the actor.

Trejo got into a physical altercation with spectators that resulted in the 80-year-old getting thrown to the ground and tossing an outdoor folding chair into the crowd.

Water Balloons, Punches, and Lawn Chairs Fly

Here's the deal with Trejo's Fourth of July parade drama.

According to published reports, Trejo was cruising in a vintage convertible as part of the parade procession when someone from the crowd reportedly threw a water balloon at the car.

Trejo was not having it because of course he wouldn’t — he’s Machete. He got out of the car to confront the group, which led to a violent and choatic scuffle.

Videos published by TMZ and elsewhere on social media show the octogenarian actor angrily walking over to the group of attendees that supposedly threw the water bomb, and tossed what appears to be a cup of water at a man before ducking a punch and getting knocked down.

Trejo then got up, grabbed a nearby mesh folding chair, and threw it at a group of guys brawling beside him.

As parade-goers held him back to keep him from throwing more hands, Trejo was soaked by another balloon that a video shows was thrown from the sidewalk.

Cops showed up about ten minutes after the fight started and restored order. Fox 11/Los Angeles reported that Trejo did not want to press charges so no one was arrested.
