The downward spiral of Ryan Garcia has taken a new turn.

The 25-year-old professional boxer was banned from the World Boxing Council following a livestream rant on X’s spaces on Thursday in which he referred to Black people using racial slurs and made anti-Muslim statements.

“Exercising my authority as president of the WBC, I am hereby expelling Ryan Garcia from any activity with our organization,” Mauricio Sulaiman said. “We reject any form of discrimination. I fear for Ryan's well-being as he has declined multiple attempts for our help with mental health and substance abuse.”

The outrage following the incident even prompted Garcia’s parents to release a statement denouncing his actions and encouraging him to seek help with his mental health.

In a since-deleted tweet, Garcia (24-1-1) walked back his actions stating, “I was trolling I want all the killing to stop. I love everyone sorry if I offended you.”

The WBC banishment is just the latest in a long line of public mishaps for the boxing and social media star.

Garcia’s “A” and “B” samples both tested positive for the banned substance ostarine following his majority decision win over Devin Haney (31-0-1) in April in what many in the boxing community considered to be a big upset. It would have been Haney’s first professional loss but the bout has since been ruled a no contest.

Garcia was ultimately hit with a one-year suspension by the New York State Athletic Commission for the failed test. Just last month he was arrested for felony vandalism after reportedly destroying property at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Beverly Hills.
