Sun Star DiJonai Carrington's Pregame Outfit Turns Heads

DiJonai Carrington had a big day on the Fourth of July, getting some viral attention for her pregame outfit and then making the game-saving play in a win for the Connecticut Sun.

Carrington showed up to the game wearing a pair of matching pink pants and an open top, finishing out the look with a pair of sunglasses. She showed off the outfit in a video shared on TikTok that showed her flash into her uniform for the game.

The outfit went viral online, but it was Carrington's play that captured the most attention. Carrington helped lead the Sun to a 78-73 victory, scoring 17 points with six rebounds, one assist, two steals and one game-changing block.

As Meghan L. Hall of USA Today's For the Win noted, Carrington's big defensive play helped break a stalemate.

"The game was back-and-forth until Napheesa Collier unfortunately went out with a foot injury," Hall wrote. "That’s when the Connecticut Sun took advantage and pulled out a gutsy win thanks to DiJonai Carrington unleashing the FILTHIEST block on poor Kayla McBride. WHEW, GIRL."

Carrington later spoke out about the play, taking to X to share her thoughts.

"sometimes you gotta admire your own work, omfgggg," she wrote.
