A single Aussie has enraged thousands of Americans after being stopped in the street and asked a single question, with her answer really not sitting well with US locals.

US content creator, Kjordy, approached the Australian woman on the street and asked her what “pisses you off” the most about Americans.

The woman didn’t hesitate with her answer, saying: “The patriotism just really pisses me off.”

When Kjordy asked for clarification, questioning why she saw patriotism as a “bad thing”, the Aussie was happy to elaborate.

“Like the extreme end where you just think you are better than everyone and everyone should kind of conform to your expectations of service, greeting people on the street,” she said.

“Sometimes I just don’t want to be spoken to.”

The woman said her first thought when an American approaches her on the street is that they are “a lot” to deal with.

She said while having people greet her on the street was “lovely”, it was “just a lot” to handle on a regular basis.

The video was shared to TikTok where it quickly went viral, racking up more than 380,000 views and 3300 comments in a matter of days.

To say Americans were not impressed by the Aussie’s assessment would be putting it lightly.

Many questioned why she viewed patriotism as a “negative thing” and were quick to defend their love of their country.

“Patriotism is a negative thing to her? That is weird to me. And the USA is better than every other country, not just a thought it is reality,” one person wrote.

“I find it absolutely ridiculous that there’s people that actually believe patriotism is a bad thing,” another said.

Others lashed out at the woman for ragging on Americans for being “nice”.

“So the worst part about Americans is we love our country and are too nice. How is that an issue?” one person said.

Some commenters responded to the slight by immediately talking up America, branding the woman “jealous” and “envious”.

One said: “We don’t think we’re better. we KNOW we’re better.”

Others reacted by throwing shade at Australians, with one person claiming they had “completely forgotten about Australia” until they saw the video.

“I don’t take criticism from people who say ‘naurrrrr’,” another said.

One added: “Oh to be better than Australia, feels good.”

Others questioned why the woman was in the US if that is how she felt about Americans, with one person writing: “Just leave”.
